About the Speaker

Kris Zoerman, PMP, is a PMO and AI strategy leader with more than 25 years of experience leading enterprise transformation, technology, and business initiatives. He has built and led PMOs, directed large-scale mergers and acquisitions, guided Agile transformations, and delivered complex programs for organizations including UFP Industries, Amway, Wolverine Worldwide, and FirstEnergy. A former MBA Project Management instructor, Kris focuses on the practical application of AI to project delivery, governance, operational excellence, and organizational change.

Session: "Human-Centered AI: From Idea to Value"

Many organizations are experimenting with artificial intelligence, but fewer have established a practical approach for turning that experimentation into measurable business value. Drawing from experience leading PMOs, enterprise transformations, and AI initiatives, Kris will explore a human-centered approach to AI adoption that incorporates strategy, PMO leadership, change management, governance, and appropriate guardrails. The session will examine where AI can accelerate project delivery and decision-making, how organizations can evaluate value and success, and why leadership, communication, critical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and trust remain essential in an AI-enabled workplace.

Learning Objectives

Attendees will be able to:

  • Apply human-centered AI principles to project delivery.
  • Strengthen governance around AI adoption and implementation.
  • Use AI to support improved project outcomes.
  • Connect AI initiatives to measurable business value.

For project managers, PMO leaders, and organizational leaders, the challenge is increasingly less about whether AI will be used and more about how it will be governed and connected to meaningful outcomes. This PDD 2026 session focuses on that transition from experimentation to value.
