WMPMI - Your Invite to Big Deal Energy - April 28, 2026

WMPMI is proud to share this amazing workshop with you - Kim Bode shared insights at our Collegiate Competition Day, and we wanted you to have a chance to connect if you missed her at our event. Check it out!

It’s all about Big Deal Energy™ (and getting a job).

Big Deal Energy™(n): The confidence of knowing exactly who you are, owning your QUIRKS™, and communicating your authentic self unapologetically.

Employers think Gen Z is lazy, entitled, and will quit the second things get hard. Fair or not, perception is reality, and it’s gonna keep you from getting an interview, much less a job. The good news? You can flip the script, but it will take some serious work and a personal brand, or as I refer to it: Big Deal Energy.

I’ll show you how to discover, create, and amplify your Big Deal Energy, using the QUIRKS™ framework (it’s proprietary and really cool). We’ll dig into building a network, how to present yourself online (psst…LinkedIn matters more than TikTok), and in person.

Employers are watching; it’s time to show them what Gen Z can do.

Learn from me, Young Padawan.

  • Match your online presence to who you are in person, avoiding AI-generated everything and letting your lived experience drive your voice.
  • Convert your quirks into Big Deal Energy.
  • Showcase your value through social, content and networking.

About the Speaker, Kim Bode:

Bode is a sought-after speaker who has taken the stage at the Women in Defense National Conference, SBA ChallengeHER, American Marketing Association,  HubZone National Conference, Michigan Manufacturing Association Workforce Solutions Summit, Michigan Celebrates Small Business Summit, Failure Lab, and more.

Her work has been published in Fast Company, Inc. Magazine, Entrepreneur, HuffPost, Scary Mommy, Thrive, and more. She hosts the Happy Hour Hustle podcast, writes at BodeSpeaks – both pair best with Cabernet on ice – and tackles personal branding, small business, dogs, and eradicating the patriarchy.

When she speaks, facilitates, or gives a keynote, it comes from 20 years of small business ownership, colliding with her ADHD, love of a good f-bomb, trauma she’s survived, stories lived, the spectacular failures and lessons collected, and the absolute hijinks of nine rescue dogs (and a husband).

She has found comfort in the uncomfortable tattoo on her arm, as a reminder that growth happens outside our safe, comfy bubbles.
