WMPMI's monthly chapter meeting is a two-PDU event featuring two presentation sessions linked by networking time and a buffet dinner.

Session 1 Topic: WMPMI 2019 Report to the Membership
Description:
The WMPMI board will present its annual report to the membership. This report is required by PMI. Additionally, during the dinner meeting time block, we will remember Ted Kallman, Past President of WMPMI, who suddenly passed away on December 25, 2019.

Session 2 Topic: How Project Management Can Work with Organizational Change Management to Improve Project Success.
Description:
Have you ever had a project that was brought in on time, under budget and exactly what was asked for but failed from a customer satisfaction stand point? What happened? You missed a major part of the proejct – the people. As we all know Project Management is the technical aspects of handling project delivery; however, Change Management is handling the people aspects of project delivery. It is the combination of these 2 sets of skills that help us as project managers be successful. This session discusses how the delivery of proejcts move from the current state through a transition period to the successful future state. And how we as project managers can use the methods of Change management to improve our project delivery.

Speaker Bio:
Dr. Doug MacNEIL is a practicing project manager and professor with over 20 years’ experience. His industry background includes retail, manufacturing and healthcare. Doug has taught project management and strategic planning at local colleges and universities and has presented and published regionally as well as nationally on topics related to project management. His research interests include the valuation of project management relative to project success. In addition to a PhD in Information Technology Project Management he holds a PMP as well as various other information technology certifications.
