The Power of Networking: Connecting with Purpose

Join us for an engaging and interactive session on the fundamentals and impact of networking. Kinga will share her personal experiences in building meaningful connections and effective collaborations. Together, we’ll explore the basics of networking, distinguish between personal and strategic networking, and discuss how to approach each with intention.

Expect hands-on activities designed to help you:

• Practice introducing yourself with confidence
• Identify your current network and potential gaps
• Engage in purposeful conversations with fellow attendees
• Learn strategies for nurturing and maintaining connections

Whether you're new to networking or looking to refine your approach, this session will provide practical tools and real-time practice to boost your confidence and effectiveness.

 

About the Speaker

Kinga Winiarska, PMP, CSM, DASSM, AH-MC

Kinga Winiarska, Past President of WMPMI and has been active in WMPMI since August 2011. During her tenure 2020 – 2021, she brought in speakers from all over the world, embracing the virtual offerings Covid forced on everyone. She was one of the few PMI chapter presidents that kept all meetings and events during the trying times. She was also one of the 32 PMI leaders chosen out of over 800 applicants to be part of Leadership Institute Master Class 2020.

Her current professional role is of a Sr. Program Manager for Cigna Healthcare Pharmacy division, where she rolled out multi-year $60M project called Pathwell Specialty. She also graduated from International Women’s Leadership program, Cigna’s offering to only 20 women annually, in the organization. In her 14 years with Cigna, she provided her expertise in launching new products, partnerships as well as managing business and project rollouts. Prior to Cigna, launched loyalty programs for SpartanNash and Borders Books and provided competitive analysis, acquisition campaigns, loyalty, and CRM marketing. She is an accomplished entrepreneur, manages several rental properties, and tries to help young people in their career journey.

Originally from Poland, Kinga came to the US in 2001. She attended University in Szczecin and earned her Masters in Business and Management degree. She speaks fluent English and Polish and some conversational Dutch. She really regrets losing Russian and German which she was fluent in as well. She lives in Byron Center, MI with her husband and three kids.
