WMPMI - VIRTUAL DINNERTIME MEETING - October 5, 2020

WMPMI's monthly chapter meeting is a two-PDU event featuring two presentation sessions.

Refurbish Your Project Manager Toolbox

A good carpenter or mechanic is always learning new ways of working their craft. New materials and concepts become available and different projects come along that may require new tools and new ways of looking at a project. Sometimes, it may also require them to learn how to use the tools they already have in new ways. This, of course, is no different for a project manager.

Sign up for this dinnertime meeting - open to all, FREE for members this month - learn some new tricks or refresh on some less frequently used or forgotten methods.

Agenda:

  • The program begins at 5:00 PM ET and ends promptly at 7:00 PM.
    • 5:00-6:00 PM - Session 1 Presentation
    • 6:00-7:00 PM - Session 2 Presentation
  • The Webex link will be provided prior to the event via email.

Session 2

Program Management and Links in the Error Chain

Rarely is there a single “smoking gun” that leads to an aviation or spaceflight disaster. Spaceflight Resource Management (SFRM) concept was developed to identify and mitigate events leading up to an incident. During this talk, Links in the Error Chain are explained and application in the project management environment is presented. The discussion will conclude with theoretical program management problems where the audience is encouraged to identify the links in the error chain.
