Location: University Club - 10th Floor of the Fifth / Third Building - 111 Lyon St NW # 1025, Grand Rapids
Speaker: Megan Marsteller, LSSBB
Topic: Lessons Learned Repository
Description:
This will be an interactive discussion on the identification, documentation, and application of lessons learned through an analytical repository. The Project Management Institute PMBOK guide defines lessons learned as the learning gained from the process of performing the project. This allows for shared knowledge, solved problems, and continuous improvement throughout an organization.
However, how can we learn to improve our best practices if there is no standardized register in which data can be effectively stored and managed? This discussion will examine known business storage and retrieval techniques in addition to exploring attendee solutions to this commonly overlooked asset.
