Description:
“Getting Things Done – The Practice of Leadership in the Royal Navy” is the 34-page pamphlet used as the foundation of leadership training at the Britannia Royal Naval College when Andrew attended as a Midshipman in 1984. Reflecting on 16 years of naval service and subsequent roles in Project and Engineering Management, Andrew draws parallels between the fundamentals of military leadership contained in Getting Things Done, and those skills required to lead project and engineering teams. Sprinkled with British and Naval anecdotes, this presentation will provide value to seasoned managers and as well as those embarking on a career in project management. It will also be a shameless reminder of what value veterans can bring to your team!
