Presentation:

A key factor of project success is the physical location and placement of people in relationship to one another to accomplish the mission and goals of the project. Sometime this involves virtual team work and in other cases physical co-location is required.  This presentation will discuss the importance of developing a project environment that enables teams to work together effectively to fulfill the mission and objectives of the project.   We will explore the case study of the Amway ATLAS project and the environment that contributed to project success.

The Environment Matters

  • Working styles vs organizational needs - (private spaces vs collaboration)

  • Personalities vs productivity (introverts, extraverts and multi-taskers)

  • Myths and Realities (it is louder)

Challenges and OPPORTUNITIES

  • Change and Loss (where do my trophies go)

  • Reduction in meetings, faster and better decisions

Amway ATLAS Project CASE Study

  • Objectives

  • The testing setup (by process, fully integrated business and technical)

  • The Pantry, Game Room and Mobile Monitors
