As a Project Management Professional, leader in your organization, your success is based largely on how well you understand the distinct personality and management style of each person in the chain of command.  On March 18th, 7am (starting with a full breakfast)  - 5pm, (including lunch) our 2014 Professional Development Day (PDD), "Think Like a Duck" helps you do just that!  Do you understand enough about the people you work with, behaviors, needs, motivations, to help your projects soar, putting yourself in the mindset of each leader you work with.  Speakers for the day include:

David Barrett Rick Forbus Ted Kallman

 

  • David Barrett A Professional Speaker in the area of Leadership bringing 30 years of experience in : Execution Leadership, Project Leadership, and Personal Leadership.  David is the Author of "The Power of the Plan", and The Keys to our Success - Lessons Learned from 25 of our Best Project Managers. David is a great speaker bringing a dynamic and exciting approach to working with audiences of all types and sizes.  Founding member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and Director of 18 Project World Seminars in Canada and the US each year, Executive Director - ProjectTimes.com and BATimes.com, also Manages the PM and BA education for The Schulich Executive Education Centre, Schulich School of Business, York University, Memorial U, Saint Mary's U, University of New Brunswick, Carleton U, U of Winnipeg, U of Saskatchewan and U of Victoria and 
     
  • Rick Forbus, holds a PhD in Human Relations and Leadership.  Rick specializes in organizational re-design using behavioral and community-based action research techniques.  Rick’s book entitled Migration: The Basics of Team Development (Nine Fundamentals That Build High-Performance Teams) addresses how organizations can enhance their focus and efficiency by creating harmony and synergy. Rick is also the author of several articles on team development, vision-casting and general leadership. He studied executive coaching with coaches from the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, North Carolina, and attended George Washington University Business School Extension. Rick is an excellent speaker and recently completed an extensive writing project entitled “Leadership: Executing for Success” for the Atlanta based project management training company Velociteach
  • *** Rick’s company, Trove Inc., will be giving each participant a Leadership Assessment and evaluation that normally costs $250, as a part of your PDD paid ticket along with one hour of Rick’s consulting which normally $600 per hour.
     
  • Ted Kallman, PMP, CSM, CSP - Ted has worked directly or in a consulting role as CEO, COO, CMO, and PMO for various companies both in Europe and in the USA. Ted is another great speaker for our day bringing extensive knowledge and experience in both Agile and Traditional PMO creation as well as being a seasoned Project Management expert. Ted holds PMP and Certified ScrumMaster designations and is one of 1,912 active Certified Scrum Professionals in the world.  http://www.pmobrothers.com/Home_Page.html
